When Ildera became Ranger of NightHawk in Avon, she got the ability to assume the form of a peregrine falcon with a variation of the usual colouration (white feathers with a pale yellow crest). Over time, her wings took longer and longer to vanish when she resumed her true from, and eventually didn't at all.
When that point was reached, when she was in her true form, the wings slowly started growing. So eventually, when in her true form, she had full, working wings. She still prefers to assume the form of a falcon if she needs to fly somewhere, for the simple reason that peregrine falcons are designed to fly fast, humanoid forms with wings, not so much. |
